Career

Srinivas Avasarala is an Indian actor and Writer. He shot to fame with the film Ashta Chamma - a telugu adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. His portrayal of Anand, Algernon in the original play, won him many accolades. Srini, as he is called, has attended UCLA and Lee Strasberg theatre and film institute. He worked in the screenplay department of Universal Studios, filtering scripts that have been submitted to the studio for production. He has also worked as an apprentice in the direction department for the movie Blind Ambition during the early days of his career. Srinivas Avasarala has publicly expressed interested in relying on his educational background to try and bring western standards to screenplay, cinematography and other technical departments of telugu movie industry.
